why is it immoral or illegal... he is just showing you part of the world you don't know about... something real and happing wither you like or not... this truth which you should know about and instead of shaming him.. you should start working on helping those people and try to understand the world they are living in...

Sabri thanks a lot for this.

I think people now would get a better idea on how the hell did Zarqawi and his gangs emerge.

I mean in low socio-economical areas, crimes rates are higher, because it starts from their early years on the streets. No educated mom to teach them, poverty (usually shares their dad's low income with another 8 siblings and more).

SHAME: I don't think it's illegal. Anyways speaking from a legal point of view, you don't have any right to report him to the authorities, it has to be the kid's parents. I mean even if you do, good explaning to the policemen that you are complaing about a guy who posted a video of kids fighitng on his English blog, get this: The police dudes are actually busy with these kids fighting!lolI mean no need for video they are part of the video!

Anyways, maybe you are not familiar with his blog, I think he's a professional photographer, and he didn't post it under (Cooooool stuff, or made fun of them).

FACT: Jordan is not West Amman.

You cannot film a minor without the consent of his legal guardians, espicillay in a deragatory manner. You are bound to be in deep legal trouble if the parents of the kids in the clip found out that their children are being defamed in this manner, let alonw being used as examples of the root of terror. But allow me to say that this is one of the differences between Wester and Arab culturs and that's respect and concern for the more vulnrable such as women and children. No offense.

I think Sabri is well with in the legal pervue here. Few people actually need to obtain written consent to do this. It's my understanding that journalists don't usuallly need to obtain written permission, so why should he? Firas is right, not all of Jordan is like Abdoun Circle for God's sake.

Rob - you make the derogatory claim that the Western culture is more respectful and caring of their women and children than Arabs, and you ask us not to take offense with such a condescending statement? How dare you? So only us Arabs have problems within our society and our family values? There is no parental abuse towards children in the West? No drug problems? No alcoholism? No child labour instead of a focus on education? This is all non-existent everywhere else and only present in the Arab world? And this is not disrespect? Men don't beat their women in the West - eh? Or abuse their children. What the fuck?

If you had paid attention to this video or bothered to listen to it at all, you would notice that Sabri does not egg on these kids in anyway - he is simply an observer filming a side of life many choose to ignore when they come from affluent backgrounds. Don't make assumptions. Don't bitch about a person's attempts to raise awareness.

What the hell are YOU doing exactly?

great stuff man. these kids grow up tough. the comments were interesting. im always amused to find that people have discovered that jordan is not west amman. im also amused when people say that you are revealing the truth, like everyone else has been living a lie.

in every nation there are spectrums of reality. jordan is no exception and this is one of them. the dominant one at that.
